Raymond Nicolas designed the three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 3,500-square-foot condo to be reminiscent of an upscale hotel to provide the couple with the calm luxury of a five-star escape. Providing the client with two different designs, the team proposed dressing the master bedroom walls with custom oak or walnut paneling; both being perfectly situated between matching trims. An intriguing pattern was created on the oak walls by orienting the panels diagonally and strategically alternating directions within each square mold. Floor-to-ceiling windows invite the outside in and frame the ever-expansive views overlooking South Florida.
Mimicking the textured walls, the master bedroom is furnished with the iconic Poliform Rever bed and its tilted headboard. Alongside, the multi-layered nightstands from Holly Hunt further embody the complementary angles of the walls and add another layer of elevated and refined geometry to the space. The option between the bronze Articolo or Holly Hunt pendants, accompanied by the grand pivoting door provides a modern yet tasteful contrast to the oak and walnut walls, and the muted fabrics.
The master bathroom was intentionally designed to have a Ritz-Carlton-esque, sophisticated allure and features a cast-iron freestanding bathtub from Waterworks. An expansive ‘his-and-hers' double sink sits atop a bleached white oak vanity, light gray terrazzo stone floors, and artfully textured grass-cloth wallpaper. Modernly designed, the powder room walls are paneled and cladded with trimless bronze mirrored and dark wood panels. The space comes together with expertly chosen details, including a jewelry-like Ce Petite wall sconce from D'armes.
