Located in Coral Gables, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Miami, Florida, Gable Auto Vault (GAV) is a five-story mixed-use luxury car storage that offers car collectors a secure location to place their extravagant collections. During the early stages of development, real estate developer and private car collector looked to Raymond Nicolas to design his personal Ferrari unit. As a returning client, he knew that Raymond Jimenez, founder and creative director, understood his personal style and vision for his personal Ferrari collection.
When the elevator doors open to the vault, the first thing you see is the classic Ferrari red. Wrapped in glass panels with carbon fiber columns–to mimic the bodies of the cars–and LED pocket lights, your eyes are instantly drawn to the brilliant color and Ferrari logo adorning the wall. Celebrated for its high performance, the iconic shine of a carbon fiber clad the walls of the space giving the vault the same impressive shine and high-performance feel as the cars stored within it.
Throughout the space, black high gloss walls installed with carbon fiber storage house car memorabilia from the clients travels. Brightly lit with under-shelf LED lights, this homage to racing history celebrates luxury cars of the past and the present. The Raymond Nicolas team also designed lounge spaces equipped with large flat-screen TVs to create a space for him and his guests to relax and gather to watch games.
The resulting vault design is as impressive as the Ferraris stored within. The continual use of carbon fiber and bright LED lights makes the vault feel as if a Ferrari transformed into an interior space.
